Although access to Porth Colmon is difficult, many people still choose to make the journey as the sailing is often worth the effort. The beach is sandy and about one mile long, so it will never get crowded, even though it is a popular place. The best sailing conditions are strong SW winds, which create clean, fast waves perfect for jumping. However, because this spot generally boasts rough conditions it is really only suitable for more experienced sailors.
Getting there: From Abersoch head NW until you reach Pen-Y-Graig, then take the coastal road NW until you reach the car park on the left hand side of the road. The beach is accessible from the car park.
